Job description

Infrastructure Services is part of IS&T and the foundation of Apple's global network operations - managing data center equipment and systems to deliver compute, storage, and networking services for teams across Apple, including its internal developer community. From individual facilities to a worldwide network, Infrastructure Services ensures the technology underneath everything works without question.

Description
As a Data Center Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and management of our data center campuses. Your main responsibility will be to establish and maintain an environment characterized by high operational tempo and efficiency across all teams dedicated to supporting the data center. You will lead high-priority projects, address critical issues promptly, and ensure timely and accurate communication with executive management, demonstrating both strategic insight and operational acumen.
Your leadership will ensure that our data center operations not only meet but exceed industry standards, supporting the company's mission to deliver reliable and efficient infrastructure solutions. By championing innovation and maintaining a focus on operational excellence, you will be a vital catalyst for growth and success within our data center operations.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of data center leadership experience or similar critical operations environment.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive hands-on experience in data center operations, combined with vocational training or certifications in relevant technical fields.
Extensive senior leadership experience in leading data center operations.
Experience with managing OpEx/CapEx budgets
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering Management, or a related team.
15+ years of data center leadership experience or similar critical operations environment.
Expertise in procurement standard methodologies and contract negotiations.
Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Data Center Operations Manager (DCOM), or equivalent qualifications.
Experience in site headcount planning, forecasting, recruitment, and development, including performance and compensation planning.
Skilled in developing, implementing, and using key performance indicators.
Ability to deliver comprehensive presentations to director-level leadership on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Experience working with the ISDCO (Infrastructure Services Data Center Operations) Capacity Management team to optimize the availability and utilization of data center space and power.
Demonstrated experience in leading and managing senior-level individual contributors, managers, and technical staff.
