Electrical Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development and commercialization of advanced scientific instrumentation and diagnostic technologies. This role will be responsible for designing, testing, integrating, and optimizing electronic systems used in sophisticated hardware platforms.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with circuit design, PCB development, hardware troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration in a product development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sensing, control, power, and other electronic systems for advanced instrumentation.
- Support hardware bring-up, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Integrate electronic subsystems with mechanical, optical, and software platforms.
- Improve existing designs with a focus on performance, reliability, signal quality, and overall system efficiency.
- Identify technical requirements, risks, and critical design considerations throughout the development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with external vendors, PCB manufacturers, and component suppliers.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Support the transition of new technologies from development to commercialization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
- Strong experience designing, simulating, prototyping, and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
- Hands-on experience developing PCB designs, including schematics and/or board layout.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with electrical, firmware, mechanical, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Photonics or optical systems
- Electromechanical system design
- FPGA development
- RF circuit design
- Thermal, electromagnetic, or other physical simulations
