Job description

As a Electrical Technician, you'll take your electronics & programming skills to the next level in a high-growth industry with exceptional job security & advancement opportunities. You Will

  • Apply your knowledge of RS Logix 500, 5000, computer networking, HMI and robotics to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric, motor, pneumatic, conveyor systems, vision systems, production equipment & plant support machines.

  • Program Allen Bradley PLCs, HMI's, Vision Systems & networking.

  • Document PLC programs using RS Logix 5, 500 & 5000 software.

  • Draw electrical schematics in AutoCAD 2000 LT & AutoCAD 2005.

  • Troubleshoot &diagnose problems by applying various troubleshooting techniques with the use of computers, PLC's, voltage meters, current meters, oscilloscopes & electrical formulas.

  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance, includingscrew tightening, component replacement, visual inspection, panel cleaning, panel wiring, wire tracing & panel documenting.

  • Design & install safety controls upgrades to protect workers & machines, with an eye on meeting or exceeding industry requirements, maintaining our standing as an America's Safest Companies.

  • Engineer MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) improvements.

  • Share responsibility of on-call technical support on a rotating schedule.

You Have

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Associate's Degree in Electrical Studies is preferred.

  • Minimum of one year of electrical or mechanical experience. This can be experience gained through paid or unpaid work & education.

  • Proficiency with PLC (Programmatic Logic Controller), RS Logix 5, 500 and 5000 software.

  • Working knowledge of Rockwell Software RSlogix 5/500/5000, Factorytalk View Studio, Siemens Step 7.

  • Industrial electrical troubleshooting skills & manufacturing system knowledge.

  • Ability to troubleshoot Industrial controls systems.

  • Variable frequency drive experience.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
