Compensation: $40.00 - $44.00 per hour on a W2 basis
Duration: 12+ month long contract with extensions

About the Role
Our client, a premier aerospace manufacturer, is looking for seasoned Electrical Designers to contribute to aircraft modernization and system integration projects. This remote, long-term contract emphasizes wire harness design, electrical schematics, and system layout utilizing Capital Logic. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage in high-impact engineering programs within an autonomous and hands-on setting.
Note: Candidates will need to have Aerospace electrical design experience and be proficient with Capital Logic. If a candidate is highly proficient utilizing Capital Logic in the automotive industry (e.g., Daimler), the "Aerospace" experience requirement will be waived.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop wire harnesses, electrical schematics, and system architecture using Capital Logic.
- Create and update wiring diagrams, connector tables, and cable assemblies for aircraft systems.
- Support the integration of electrical systems into airframes, including routing and installation of harnesses and related components.
- Generate and manage engineering documentation packages for FAA certification.
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical, avionics, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Troubleshoot issues and assist with root cause analysis during builds and testing phases.
- Maintain accurate revision control and compliance with internal and FAA standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of electrical design experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or heavy equipment sectors.
- Proficient in Capital Logic for schematic capture and harness design (required).
- Experience designing and documenting wire harnesses, interconnects, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as FAA, MIL-STD, or DO-160.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional tools such as SolidWorks Electrical or Zuken.
- Prior involvement in aircraft retrofit or modernization programs.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field.
