Electrical Engineer (Centennial, CO)
Pay: $70,000 - $120,000 per year DOE

POSITION SUMMARY:
Winn-Marion Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in our Centennial, CO location.
This position provides electrical design support for PDC building, Electrical systems, Control Systems, packaged skids, pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. A successful candidate will bring design, engineering, and technical expertise to a team of established engineers and technicians with a proven track record of 2+ years of experience in the industrial sector. Relocation available for the right candidate.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Equivalent.
  • Ability to handle design and support of multiple projects at the same time.
  • Must be able to communicate with peers, engineers, and clients clearly and efficiently.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to learn and expand your skill set, and be detail oriented.
  • Must be proficient with E Plan or AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids such as load calculations, short circuit, voltage drop and similar calculations related to power system engineering and design development
  • Design low voltage electrical distribution systems for industrial, water/wastewater, mining and military facilities. The design includes preparing design drawings (single line, elevation diagrams, plans, wiring schematics, schedules, heat trace, etc.)
  • Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, harmonics, voltage drop, short circuit, coordination and arc flash)
  • Perform electrical systems design including MV switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, transformers, distribution panels, and other electrical distribution systems and specifying them
  • Provide design for lighting, fire alarm and grounding systems
  • Review and coordinate instrumentations, control system process P amp;IDs, mechanical systems and design its related electrical systems
  • Review equipment shop drawings
  • Perform field inspections of electrical systems and attend system startup field activities
  • Exposure to motors, motor controllers, starters, drives, transformers
  • Maintains professional behavior and proper communication with internal and external contacts, including company employees, customers, and outside vendors
  • Complies with all safety work procedures.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Effectively manages time, follows directions and completes work within specified time
  • Complies with all company policies and OSHA rules while carrying out all work processes
  • Successfully completes requested training classes and maintain all necessary safety certificates
  • Keeps work area clean, organized, and hazard free
  • Efficiently follow orders from manager. Able to meet or deliver before the required deadlines
  • Properly utilize, care for, and secure all company tools, supplies, and vehicles

WORK CONDITIONS:
  • Able to sit at computer work station for long periods
  • Able to stand for long periods conducting inventory counts and perform reaching, lifting, sorting, and loading and unloading of inventory
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 60 pounds
  • Able to perform general office administrative activities of copying, filing, faxing, and using the telephone
  • Able to climb stairs, work at heights, or confined spaces
  • Maintain regular and on-time attendance. Position is 40 hours per week but may exceed 40 hours per week
  • Occasional travel by vehicle to work sites over a large geographic area
