Job description

Location: Louisville, CO Salary: $130,000.00 USD Annually - $211,000.00 USD Annually Description:
Quantum Physicist
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex quantum hardware challenges involving AMO physics, laser systems, optical architectures, and quantum control while collaborating with a highly accomplished team of physicists and engineers.
Hybrid Schedule in Boulder, CO preferred (Open to candidates in Chicago, IL or Madison, WI)
Full-time, direct hire
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, calibrate, and maintain neutral atom quantum computing systems.
  • Develop and optimize laser, optical, and quantum hardware subsystems.
  • Model atomic physics behavior and translate findings into system designs.
  • Develop and debug Python-based experimental control and analysis software.
  • Lead and contribute to R&D initiatives focused on quantum computing technologies.

Qualifications
  • PhD in Atomic Physics, AMO Physics, Optical Physics, Quantum Physics, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with AMO physics, quantum optics, ultracold atoms, trapped ions, or similar quantum systems.
  • Experience working with laser and optical systems in a laboratory environment.
  • Python programming experience for experimental control and data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a research-driven environment.
