Job description

Experience & abilities you will need:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year recent experience working as an Electrician in and industrial and/or manufacturing work environment to be considered.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical and instrument practices including application of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic principles.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
  • Understand AC single phase and three phase systems and DC solid state drives and motor generator sets. Must understand principles of motor operation.
  • Skilled in electrical control principles.
  • Ability to read and work from electrical and instrument drawings, blueprints, and manufacturers' specifications.
  • Ability to properly install and maintain all necessary fittings, devices, and instruments required for pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.
  • Motors and transformers maintenance and testing,
  • Switchgear / Breakers
  • Must have good written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.

What you will do:
This position will support the operations of the plant, instrumentation and electrical needs. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Responsible to the Electrical Supervisor or Leadman for alteration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical and instrument equipment. Has an obligation to keep up with the state of the art in instrument and electrical technology.
Other job requirements consist of:
  • Applying proper safety requirements to any/all jobs being done.
  • Performing needed clean-up to keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, orderly, and safe.
  • Committed to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S.
  • Other duties as assigned.
