Position Summary:

As a Service Technician, you will be a key member of our field operations team, responsible for delivering exemplary electrical services in residential settings (single-family homes, townhomes, and ideally multi-family/residential- community environments). You will handle warranty work, customer service calls, installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks. Your strong residential electrical background is essential; experience in commercial/ multifamily environments is a plus. You must be customer focused, quality oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision while ensuring safety, code compliance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, install, maintain electrical systems in residential homes and residential community settings in accordance with applicable electrical codes (NEC) and company standards.
  • Perform warranty work, callbacks, maintenance service, and scheduled service visits, ensuring prompt, high quality resolutions and strong customer experience.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues (e.g., wiring faults, panel upgrades, lighting, circuits, outlets, EV charger receptacles, etc.) in both new-build and occupied homes.
  • Coordinate with Community Managers and other trades as required to ensure service or warrant issues are addressed efficiently and with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working conditions; ensure all parts, meters and testing instruments are calibrated and used properly.
  • Provide excellent customer service; greet homeowners or residents professionally, explain work clearly, respond to questions, leave the work area clean and safe, and follow through on any required documentation or reports.
  • Ensure all field work adheres to company safety policies, OSHA standards, and local & State codes/regulations.
  • Document work accurately: record work performed, parts used, time on site, service call details, and any recommendations for future improvements or upgrades.
  • Participate in after-hours / on-call rotation as required for urgent residential electrical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in service operations, suggest upgrades or recurring issue fixes, and support the Service Manager in tracking warranty trends.
  • (Optional/Plus) Assist with light commercial or multi-family building electrical service when required and if skilled providing added value and flexibility to the team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Colorado electrician license (Residential Wireman, Journeyman, or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in residential electrical service, installation, or maintenance. Experience in commercial or multi-family electrical work is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of residential electrical codes (NEC), wiring methods, panel work, lighting, branch circuits, load calculations, etc.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to interact professionally with homeowners/residents and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving ability: able to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and avoid repeat issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Valid drivers license, clean driving record, and ability to travel throughout the service region (Centennial/Denver metro + surrounding).
  • Physical ability to perform field work: walking job sites, climbing ladders, working in attics/crawl spaces, lifting equipment/parts, and standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work some evenings or weekends and respond to urgent service calls as needed.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Environment

  • Primarily field-based work in residential homes and neighborhoods across Centennial and the Front Range metro area.
  • Some exposure to multi-family or light commercial service environments (if applicable).
  • Frequent entry into occupied homes, requiring professionalism, attention to cleanliness, and respect for residents.
  • On-call or emergency response may be required outside standard business hours.
  • Use of standard service vehicle.
