Then we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a full-time entry-level Electrical Specialist at our fast-paced plant in Weyauwega, WI.

Pay: $33.37-$39.25/hour

Responsibilities

Your Role:

Electrically install, maintain, service, make adjustments on plant equipment and auxiliary equipment, recommend and assist in training to maintain current electrical department skills and conform with OSHA and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!

  • Maintain overall knowledge of electrical processes. Review technical papers and reference materials.
  • Interview and confer with all Electrical Contractors & Sales to select and recommend new equipment and processes.
  • Troubleshoot major electrical problems on machines.
  • Provide training in troubleshooting methods, installation procedures, new technologies, the NEC & safety.
  • Work with the Maintenance Lead to determine preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain equipment in compliance with Presto safety standards and the NEC.
  • Work with Maintenance Coordinator and Plant Engineer to plan, set up and install Capital Construction Projects.
  • Inventory electrical parts in the shop and initiate purchases.
  • Maintain current equipment documentation, ie: schematics & programs.
  • Keep track of power usages, phase balance and power factor.
  • Be a technical resource to plant teams, actively participate in the team process to reduce product costs.
  • Maintain Weyauwega & Waupaca electrical substation.
  • Assist in R&D of special equipment for special processes.
  • Plan and install electrical upgrades & installations for plant power.
  • Work with or direct contractor labor for various projects.
  • Lead the LO/TO program.
  • Lead electrical safety for arc flash/PPE from a NFPA/OSHA/NEC standpoint.
  • Create and maintain work orders within work order system.
  • Assist with equipment and plant safety audits.
  • Be a resource for new technology and equipment (cameras, profilers, lasers, etc).
  • Assist in annual budgets.

Requirements

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • 10+ years of work experience in the electro mechanical trade within an industrial environment
  • Formal training in industrial electronics or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance techniques, including instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics, power transmission, bearings, seals, motors, electrical power and control circuits, DC/AC drives, PLCs, and solid state systems
  • Ability to safely operate shop equipment, power tools, hand tools, and electrical/electronic test instruments
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Advanced PLC programming training, including at least three manufacturer provided classes
  • Must be available for overtime as needed
  • Must be flexible to work any shift as required
