Job description

We are currently hiring to fill a Sales Associate position in our growing Parts Department! This position will be full-time Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:300pm. The applicant that fills this position will need to bring an understanding of Parts and Counter sales and be willing to learn a broad-based knowledge of hydraulics and the industries associated with them. The applicant should be able to follow up on leads, self-generated or otherwise. This position will also require the applicant to build a network of vendor relationships in order to grow the expanding parts sales initiative. These vendor relationships will provide the support needed to develop strong customer retention and the tools needed to best serve the needs of multiple consumer bases at the same time.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

โ€ข Pick / pull parts orders when dropped in the Que.

โ€ข Parts Orders

  • Respond to parts calls and emails from customers and enter their orders
  • Assist walk-in customers with hoses, fittings, and parts (counter sales)
  • Invoice parts orders after deductions
  • Send out tracking information for parts orders to customers
  • Gather and maintain a database of detailed information on new customers
  • Provide written quotes to dealers and to end users with their pricing level and estimated shipping.
  • Inform customers of any delays on their parts orders
  • Consult Shipping to verify parts orders for the day
  • Create folders for customer orders
  • Work with Sales admin to clear Open order report for all priority orders / parts orders

โ€ข Expand the Parts Sales initiative to include โ€œStock Ordersโ€ from various Part Sales leads.

  • Create and maintain an active list of potential Stock Customers and leads.
  • Follow up using approved communications with the leads generated from this list.
  • Report any leads that could prove to be a residual customer or kit sales outlet

โ€ข Report and log any customer needs that are unable to be filled to leadership with the understanding that this may lead to other product lines to be offered in the market.

โ€ข Work closely with SUPPORT AND WARRANTY SPECIALIST to ensure that all parts orders are correct and are being shipped in the proper manner as requested by the customer.

  • Ability to communicate information to multiple levels of management and other personnel
  • Physically be able to keep up from day to day in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Fork lift experience is a plus but not required
  • Computer knowledge, primarily excel and word, required
