Job description
Join a Team Where Engineering Excellence Drives Opportunity
At Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI), we bring together expertise and innovation to solve the most complex challenges. Since 1978, we've supported mission-driven organizations in designing systems and environments that advance society and improve lives. Today, with more than 900 professionals across 22 offices, we help shape the future of healthcare, science and technology, energy, education, and other vital sectors.
From collaborating with the California Air Resources Board to transform air quality in the world's largest, zero net energy emissions testing facility to creating human-centric, technically advanced clinical environments that elevate communities - such as Healthcare Design Magazine's 2022 Design Showcase Winner, Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice, Florida - our work reflects the highest standards in sustainable design practices. Â
AEI is at the forefront of designing cutting-edge, hyperscale, and mission critical facilities that redefine innovation in ultra-high-density technology, water-use efficiency, and sustainability. With our impressive track record encompassing manifold projects, such as data center commissioning for the SAS Institute, Inc., the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's data center, continuous mission-critical infrastructure support for Biogen's expanding preclinical analysis and manufacturing operations, BB&T Financial's primary data center, and the Idaho National Laboratory Collaborative Computing Center, among others, we have established our standing as industry leaders.
Having designed facilities in the Top 50 fastest supercomputers in the world and over 200 million square feet of mission-critical facilities, our client roster spans various sectors such as high-performance computing (HPC)/research, hyperscale, finance, healthcare, higher education, manufacturing, private enterprise, and federal agencies. We have planned and delivered infrastructure supporting 2+ exaFLOPS and 500MW+ critical power and cooling, enabling us to supply unparalleled expertise to every project. AEI leads the nation in next-generation computing facilities in support of the fastest supercomputers in the world, delivering groundbreaking solutions that push the boundaries of possibility.
We are hiring for an Electrical QA/QC Agent in the following states: Texas, Georgia, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Arizona. As part of our Mission Critical team, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Why we need you:
In this role, you will be responsible for resolving quality control challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing quality control process delivery plans based on information outlined in the owner's project requirements, basis of design, design and construction documents, as well as information gathered from users and project partners, field surveys, specifications, shop drawings, and code research.
The expertise of our most successful Electrical QA/QC Agent includes:

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical service or electrical equipment testing.
- A minimum of two (2) years in mission-critical space.
- Functional knowledge of building systems across disciplines, including fire protection, electrical, technology, instrumentation and controls, process, and lighting systems.
- Experience with both primary and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems. Expertise in fire detection/suppression, building monitoring systems, diesel generators, medium voltage switchgear, UPS systems, and power distribution equipment.
- Fundamental knowledge of commissioning processes and commissioning process delivery.
- Fundamental knowledge of construction processes and project delivery models.
- knowledge and understanding of electrical codes, standards, specifications, and shop drawings with the ability to interpret them.
- Proficiency in utilizing applicable technologies, including computer/software, data loggers, and test and measurement equipment.
