2026 Election Judge Application The City of Farmington is now accepting applications for Election Judges and Head Election Judges. Election Judge wage is $13.50 per hour. Head Election Judge wage is $15.00 per hour As an Election Judge you will be responsible for: Reporting to work at the assigned time Provide professional, courteous, and respectful service Assist voters, regardless of race, color, creed, religion, nation origin, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or age Complete, read, and study all training materials Adhere to federal, state, and local election laws and policies Keep election equipment and supplies secure and operate said equipment as instructed Report to the Head Judge any malfunction or possible tampering of voting equipment or suspicious behavior that may threaten the accuracy of the election Remai non-partisan and refrain from making political comments while serving as an Election Judge Required Qualifications to serve as an Election Judge per Minesota Statue 204B.19: Must be eligible to vote in Minnesota; and Must be able to read, write, and speak the Englis language; and Must not be the spouse, parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, sibling or stepsibling of any candidate on the ballot or of any election judge serving in the same precinct at the same time; and Must not be domiciled, either permanently or temporarily, with any candidate on the ballot at that election; and Must not be a candidate on the ballot at that election; and Must be appointed by the Farmington City Council; and Must complete the required training Notice: All Election Judges are required to submit an Election Judge Application which asks you to provide information that includes private information under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA)
This information will be used to make work assignments and to contact you regarding Election Judge training and other matters. In addition, the City provides your phone number and email address to Head Judges who are asked to contact you prior to Election Day. You are not legally required to provide any of the requested information; however, if you do not, the City of Farmington will be unable to process your application.
