Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:


The primary purpose of the Business Member Services Representative and Loan Processor is to deliver responsive service to business members and provide accurate, timely operational support throughout the business account and lending lifecycle. This position opens and maintains business accounts, supports business banking services, processes and books member business loans, maintains required loan documentation and insurance tracking, completes post-booking quality control, and assists with branch transactions and related member service needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:


  • Open business membership and deposit accounts; obtain, review, and maintain required account documentation in accordance with Credit Union policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist business members with service requests, account maintenance, account changes, and general questions regarding business accounts, loans, and services.
  • Scan and index account cards and business entity documentation in Nautilus to ensure complete, accurate, and accessible records.
  • Set up and maintain Business Online Banking access and provide related member support.
  • Create and organize new loan request files in the Business Lending folder on the X drive and maintain documentation throughout the lending process.
  • Process Member Business Loans (MBLs), including preparing loan documents, coordinating required signatures, booking loans, and disbursing loan proceeds.
  • Track and maintain evidence of insurance for MBL, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), and one-to-four-family real estate loans; follow up on missing, expired, or insufficient coverage.
  • Complete post-booking quality-control corrections and maintain applicable checklists for CRE and one-to-four-family real estate loans.
  • Perform loan file maintenance, including processing annual fees for lines of credit and completing other servicing updates as assigned.
  • Process ELAN business and consumer credit card applications accurately and timely.
  • Identify merchant-service needs and refer business members to Elavon Merchant Services.
  • Provide notary services in accordance with Nevada law and Credit Union procedures.
  • Serve as a backup contact for the Business Loan Officer and provide backup support for Retail Member Services and the front desk as needed.
  • Support business banking products and services, including ACH origination, point-of-sale solutions, and other available treasury or payment services.
  • Process title lien perfection and UCC filings for business-loan collateral, as applicable.
  • Protect member information, maintain confidentiality, and comply with all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS


  • Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED required. Related college coursework, financial-services training, or lending education preferred. A current Nevada notary commission is preferred or must be obtained within a reasonable period after hire, if required by the Credit Union.
  • Required Knowledge: Working knowledge of business deposit accounts, business lending documentation and servicing, collateral and insurance requirements, and applicable Credit Union policies and procedures.

Understanding of applicable legal and regulatory requirements involving business accounts, lending, member privacy, cash handling, lien perfection, and record retention. Familiarity with business online banking, credit card, merchant-services, and document-imaging processes.

Experience Required:

  • At least one year of related financial-services, member-service, loan-processing, lending-support, or administrative experience. Business banking or commercial-loan experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication and professional member-service skills.

  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Proficiency with related computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office, Nautilus, online banking platforms, and loan-processing systems.
  • Strong math, cash-handling, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrates carefulness about detail and is thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Performs effectively with frequent workload changes and competing demands.
  • Maintains confidentiality related to Credit Union operations and work-related information.
