Job description

Summary
    Engages with Parkview Health and Connect Clients to navigate, guide, and resolve EHR related education and support needs during implementations and go-live activities. Performs Instructional Design duties by evaluating, adapting, and developing instruction based on learner needs. Instrumental in growing team knowledge by engaging in critical thinking and analysis to seek and solve problems. Serves as a mentor to new EHR Educators both from a department and EHRknowledge perspective. Proposes solutions to senior specialists and manager surrounding curriculum standards, efficiency, quality, and project education. Serves as a subject matter expert in Epic functionality across multiple applications. Consistently utilizes critical thinking and analytical abilities in seeking and resolving issues. Understands standard EHR workflows impacting end users in Epic and related programs. Serves as a resource for other team members. Leads Discovery/Site visits or leads small on-site go-live support resources. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in application functionality and documentation processes related to electronic health records. Proposes solutions to manager surrounding documentation/education standards, efficiency, quality, and EHR system updates. Performs all key functions of the EHR Education Analyst Role.
 
Education
    Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, education, information technology, or related field required. Coworkers currently in the role will be exempt from this requirement.
 
Licensure/Certification
    Epic Credentialing Status in Minimum of 3 applications required at time of hire. Status must remain up-to-date. Must remain current with all versions of the electronic health record. Valid Driver’s license.
 
Experience
    Minimum requirement of 5 years experience in education, healthcare or other related field. Minimum of 2 years experience in an Epic Educator role. OnBase or Fluency Direct experience preferred. Epic Reporting experience preferred.
 
Other Qualifications
    Must demonstrate subject expertise in a minimum of 1 EHR application. Must travel frequently to new Parkview and Epic Community connect clients. Exhibits leadership abilities, effective interpersonal communication, and demonstrated ability in building collaborative relationships with team, end users, and other departments in the organization. Familiarity with medical terminology and workflows preferred. Able to perform basic Epic build functionality, including login block restrictions and user customization. Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications. Demonstrated ability to enthusiastically provide education and navigate learning styles with a diverse group of learners. Ability to link content to individual and team success. Skilled at complex problem solving, organization, possessing strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to understand complex issues. Complex knowledge and understanding of EHR required. Demonstrated knowledge of data analytics preferred. Proven ability to perform multiple priorities and work effectively in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with technical teams, as well as leaders and end users. Ability to work flexible hours and travel to various organizational locations to meet the needs of the user community.
