Job description

Summary
Work closely with Program Manager or Program Director to coordinate the daily administrative activities of fellowships. Provide support to the team to facilitate the achievement of the program's goals.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Execute institutional or program activities with a high degree of independence (e.g., educational events, training, learner recruitment/interviews, orientation, schedules, and graduation).

  • Maintain proficiency in accreditation, board and/or institutional requirements. Manage activities related to these requirements to ensure full compliance with a high degree of independence.

  • Guide the Designated Institutional Official, Program Director, Clerkship Director, Department Chair and/or other leaders on issues related to the requirements from accreditation agencies, national boards and/or affiliated institutions.

  • Serve as primary liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliated institutions, outside institutions and national organizations.

  • Develop and maintain database(s) to track, schedule and record activities related to the institution, program(s) and/or learners.

  • Serve as an expert regarding information, support and problem solving on a wide range of issues for leaders, faculty, staff and learners.

  • Coordinate recruitment of preceptors, instructors and speakers.

  • Design and create brochures, flyers, handbooks and other educational materials.

  • Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities with a high degree of independence.

  • Monitor programmatic budgets. Lead or oversee the work of support staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Required Experience: 5 years of related experience

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.
Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.
Sensory Acuity
Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
