Job Summary

The Dornsife School of Public Health is seeking a Data Analyst to perform data management and data analysis for a medical cannabis patient registry study.
The Data Analyst will provide support to Dr. Stephen Lankenau in the Community Health & Prevention Department. As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Data Analyst will be responsible for the data management of a patient registry study of medical cannabis patients: contributing to instrument design; managing project datasets; conducting data cleaning and data analysis; dissemination of results.

This position is grant-funded; employment is contingent upon the continued availability of those funds.   

Essential Functions

  • Assist with design of quantitative tools.
  • Manage inflow of quantitative data (i.e., data sets merge, data cleaning).
  • Analyze quantitative data using probability & inferential statistics.
  • Document project activities for interim and final reports.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Public Health, or related fields or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Coursework in advanced biostatistics and applied knowledge of SAS or SPSS.
  • Data management and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with longitudinal data analysis.
  • Familiarity with medical cannabis research.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 60,240.00 to $ 90,350.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position will vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
