An education administrator oversees the daily operations of a school. Principals, vice principals, and academic deans are all examples of education administrators, but there are lower ranking roles as well. Your duties vary significantly, depending on your role. You interact with parents, students, and teachers, as well as with local politicians and members of the public. You may be involved in developing and instituting curriculum guidelines and disciplinary policies, hiring new faculty, or planning school budgets. Education administrators work at elementary, middle, and high schools, or at postsecondary institutions.
