Description
Looking for a Blackboard Application Support Specialist on a 3 month contract. The consultant will provide temporary operational support for the Educational Technology (EdTech) team by monitoring, resolving or escalating educator and staff requests and following guidance to update accounts and content in learning technology systems.
Primary responsibilities include:
Responding to and triaging requests submitted by end users through the EdTech support email inbox.
Providing operational support and troubleshooting for Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS), Portfolio, and Echo360 video hosting.
Assisting with account and course/organization creation and administration in Blackboard and other learning systems
Updating and developing user-facing documentation, user guides, and help desk knowledge base resources.
Providing basic faculty support and educational technology guidance, escalating complex instructional design or support requests.
Submitting help desk tickets and communicating with vendors (e.g. Blackboard) for issues. Coordinating with other technical staff as needed.
Critical Responsibilities
Blackboard, Portfolio, and Echo360 operational support and troubleshooting.
EdTech inbox coverage.
Faculty/coordinator/Teaching Assistants support for educational technology systems.
Blackboard course setup and administration under guidance from EdTech team.
Documentation updates for immediate needs only to support faculty and staff

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Candidate must be local to the NYC metro area and be onsite 3x week. Office is located at 1468 Madison Ave, New York, NY.
Candidate must be a strong go-getter, be able to figure things out on their own, and have prior Blackboard support experience. Should be able to provide clear and concise instructions to users when guiding them how to use the platform or troubleshoot issues.
