Business Development Manager - Data Center Liquid Cooling
Location: Within the Continental United States
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $80,000 - $135,000/annually

The Dixon Group is looking for a Business Development Manager - Data Center Liquid Cooling to join our team! In this role as a Business Development Manager you will drive growth, strengthen client partnerships, and expand market share within the Data Center Liquid Cooling (DCLC) sector. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional tasked with working independently to identify, cultivate, and secure high-value opportunities that solidify Dixon’s leadership within the DCLC ecosystem.

What You'll Do:
  • Build and reinforce Dixon’s position and reputation as a leader in the data center liquid cooling market
  • Develop and execute plans to increase sales of Dixon products in the data center liquid cooling market
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, contractors, original equipment manufacturers, integrators, hyperscalers, and end users
  • Work internally with Dixon colleagues, including members of the sales team, order fulfillment team, marketing team, etc., to identify opportunities and fulfill customer needs
  • Visit and collaborate in the field with other Dixon sales representatives
  • Develop Dixon’s customer base in the data center liquid cooling market by conducting market research, reaching out to potential customers, and forming relationships with key individuals
  • Provide expert-level technical consultation to complex stakeholder groups (e.g., engineers, chief technology officers, procurement professionals, etc.) to integrate Dixon products into critical cooling architectures
  • Assess and navigate multi-layered decision-making structures within hyperscale and original equipment manufacturer organizations, exercising independent judgment to determine when and how to engage organizational leaders to develop relationships and earn business
  • Attend industry trade shows to expand Dixon’s professional network and identify new opportunities
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
  • Develop deep technical knowledge of the data center liquid cooling market and systems and utilize personal expertise to train Dixon colleagues and assist with customer needs
  • Maintain accurate activity and customer records using customer relationship management and other tools
  • Travel nationally to meet with customers and suppliers
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven track record of managing technical sales processes, including ability to navigate multiple layers of an organization
  • Proven experience in industrial sales, manufacturing sales, fluid transfer products, hose and coupling products, or a related field
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage confidently at all organizational levels
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the United States as needed
  • Self-motivation with strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong financial, data, and writing skills
  • Proficiency with business software and information systems
  • Experience working in the Data Center Liquid Cooling market
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical products and applications
  • Knowledge of hose, fittings, couplings, valves, fluid handling, or related industrial products
  • Existing relationships with hyperscale operators, colocation providers, server manufacturers, or cooling solution providers
  • Salesforce or similar customer relationship management experience
