Location: Lincoln, NE
Job Type: Part-time | Day Shift; 6:15AM - 9:30AM; Thursdays and Fridays Off.
Schedule varies based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Position Summary
The Security Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and company assets. This role involves active patrolling, surveillance, incident response, and customer service in accordance with company policy and Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission (NRGC) regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of all guests, team members, and property
  • Monitor and patrol casino/hotel areas during assigned shifts
  • Respond to security incidents, disturbances, and emergencies
  • Prepare detailed and timely incident and investigation reports
  • Assist with the secure transfer of money and gaming chips
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and NRGC regulations
  • Control access to restricted areas and the video lottery facility
  • Provide assistance and information to guests and employees as needed
  • Stand post for extended periods as required
  • Maintain consistent radio communication and respond promptly to back-up calls
  • Attend required training sessions and department meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to remain composed under stress and handle conflict professionally

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military
  • Prior work in a casino or resort environment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Exposure to weather extremes, loud noise, darkness, secondhand smoke, and confined spaces
  • Frequent standing, walking, and mobility throughout the facility
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Regular use of radios and other communication equipment
  • May work in high-risk or emergency response scenarios requiring vigilance
Schedule
Part-time | Day Shift; 6:15AM - 9:30AM; Thursdays and Fridays Off.
Due to the dynamic nature of hospitality and entertainment operations, team members must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet property business needs.
