Join a growing e-commerce organization focused on providing a secure and reliable shopping experience for its customers. The Risk Mitigation team plays an important role in identifying suspicious activity, protecting customer accounts, and helping prevent fraudulent transactions.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Risk Mitigation Associate to support fraud prevention and transaction review efforts. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who has experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite and a CRM platform such as ServiceNow. Extensive training will be provided, making this an excellent fit for someone who is adaptable, curious, and comfortable learning new systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review transactions identified by automated fraud monitoring tools and determine whether additional investigation is needed.
  • Research customer accounts and transaction history to verify information and make informed decisions regarding orders.
  • Communicate with customers through phone and email when additional verification or clarification is required.
  • Review account information to help prevent fraudulent activity and reduce delays related to refunds.
  • Investigate activity that may violate established Terms of Use and communicate appropriate next steps with customers.
  • Research chargeback cases, collect supporting documentation, and assist with resolving disputed transactions.
  • Monitor recurring activity and identify trends that may help improve fraud prevention processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to communicate findings and support improvements to internal procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in e-commerce, fraud prevention, risk management, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience working with an ERP system; NetSuite is strongly preferred, though comparable ERP experience will be considered.
  • CRM experience; ServiceNow or a similar platform is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with an investigative and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • E-commerce fraud or risk experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Braintree or PayPal is a plus.
