Job description

The Risk Mitigation Associate - Fraud is a full-time position responsible for supporting GOVX's efforts to prevent fraudulent activity, promote customer satisfaction through financial transaction processing, and minimize related financial losses. This role reports to the Risk Mitigation Manager and works closely with Member Services.ย 
ย 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Review:ย Orders flagged by automated fraud prevention systems; investigate account details, verify information via phone/email, and confirm or cancel orders.ย ย 
  • Assist:ย Verify customer data and account history to prevent refund delays and mitigate fraud.ย ย Investigate:ย Potential violations of Terms of Use and educate customers to ensure compliance.ย ย 
  • Identify:ย Trends and communicate findings across departments to improve fraud prevention processes.ย ย 
  • Support:ย Investigate, analyze, and resolve chargeback cases; gather documentation to dispute unsupported claims.ย 

Requirements

Education/Experience: Associate'sย degree (Bachelor'sย preferred) and 1+ years in e-commerce fraudย orย risk management.ย 

Technical Proficiency:ย 

  • ERP:NetSuite or similar software.ย 
  • CRM:ย ServiceNow or similar enterprise level softwareย 
  • Payments:Braintree and PayPal environments.ย 

Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.ย 

Attributes:ย ย 

  • Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, diverse, and rapidly changing environment.ย 
  • Candidates with prior GOVX experience must have proven performance in these areas.ย 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This role occasionally must lift and carry office equipment. Occasional evening, night, and weekend shifts are required during peak season (e.g. Black Friday)

Physical - This is a sedentary role.

Mental - Problem solving, making decisions, interpreting data, organizing, and reading/write.
