Overview
Ecommerce Fraud Manager
Position Summary:
The Ecommerce Fraud Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategies to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraudulent activities across the company's online sales channels. This role ensures the integrity of transactions, protects revenue, and safeguards customer trust by leveraging data analytics, fraud detection tools, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain fraud prevention policies, procedures, and best practices for ecommerce transactions.
• Monitor real-time and post-transaction fraud detection systems to identify suspicious activity.
• Analyze fraud trends, patterns, and emerging threats to proactively adjust prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with IT, customer service, finance, and legal teams to investigate and resolve fraud cases.
• Manage relationships with third-party fraud detection vendors and payment processors.
• Conduct regular audits of ecommerce transactions and systems to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Train and educate internal teams on fraud awareness and prevention techniques.
• Analyze and synthesize research findings into key insights for stakeholders
• Lead incident response for significant fraud events, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Stay current with industry developments, fraud schemes, and relevant legislation.
• Ability to drive continuous process improvements and handle multiple priorities
• Ability to analyze situations, negotiate and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in ecommerce fraud prevention, risk management, eCommerce platforms, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, chargeback processes, and fraud detection tools.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (Excel, SQL, BI tools).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience managing teams and projects in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Preferred exposure to Retail eCommerce/CNP environments.
