Job description

The Role: DF Supply is looking for someone who can accurately process and maintain product data using vendor-provided Excel files. The ideal candidate is proficient at Excel, comfortable working with large data sets, highly organized, and proactive in contacting vendors to ensure accuracy and completeness. As a distributor, this role focuses on maintaining vendor-provided pricing and does not involve setting or determining product pricing.

In this role, much of your time will be spent working in Excel with vendor-provided price lists, making structured updates to product data, and verifying accuracy across systems. The work is detail-focused and repetitive at times, requiring consistency and careful attention to small changes that can impact pricing and product availability. This role is best suited for someone who values accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain vendor-provided price lists
• Update pricing on existing products
• Add new products with complete and accurate information
• Maintain accurate product data, including current vendor part numbers
• Manage discontinued products and identify replacements when applicable
• Review discontinued items for impact on open orders and inventory
• Resolve pricing discrepancies between purchase orders and vendor acknowledgments
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and data processes

Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including working with large data sets
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage structured, repetitive work
  • Comfortable communicating with vendors via email to request and clarify information
