Summary:
As a Credit Analyst, you assess the financial health and risk of clients by analyzing financial statements, building models, and supporting funding decisions. You collaborate with internal and external partners, leverage data to inform recommendations, and assist with closing documentation to support timely, well-informed credit decisions.  
You will be working on the Commercial Finance portfolio.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial statements of sub-investment grade and unrated companies, with an emphasis on the unrated middle market, and form an investment thesis.  
  • Build financial models to support investment thesis.  
  • Propose funding solutions, and facilitate/execute decision-making.  
  • Leverage data and analytical tools to bring quantitative rigor to the funding and decision-making process.  
  • Effectively communicate with external and internal constituents, with a keen focus on problem solving.  
  • Issue and negotiate closing documentation (contracts, guaranties, subordinations, etc.).  
  • Other duties as assigned by direct, department, or division leadership.  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business.  
  • 3+ years in a financial analysis role focused on investment decision-making and analytics; experience in high yield credit, equity, or private equity investing is ideal.  
  • Experience in supporting and making decisions that will impact go/no-go within various business transactions.  
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Docs and the ability to learn Tableau.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Problem solving abilities, delivering solutions-driven work, and providing impactful results.  
  • Resourceful, self-starter, independent thinker.  
  • Team player, collaborative, responsive.  
  • Detail-oriented.
