Job description

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
The Information Systems Division Asset Management Unit is currently seeking a dedicated Information Technology (IT) Associate to join our team! This position plays a key role in managing the department's IT assets, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining accurate inventory controls. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate the receipt, asset tagging, storage, issuance, and shipping of IT equipment • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the proper management of IT assets • Collaborate and communicate effectively across multiple teams to ensure smooth workflow • Utilize inventory management tools to track and update asset data • Ensure all assets are properly tagged and organized for easy retrieval • Assist with physical inventory checks and resolve discrepancies • Operate hand trucks or pallet jacks for equipment transport as needed

Working Conditions
The incumbent performs work indoors in a climate-controlled environment under artificial lighting. The incumbent must carry a cell phone and respond to calls after hours to lead multi-disciplinary IT professionals' team(s) in organizing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT system problems; Organization-wide travel is integral to our operations and will be required of all team members as necessary.
