They help users troubleshoot issues, configure system settings, and ensure that the ERP software is running efficiently. Their responsibilities often include user training, system upgrades, data analysis, and liaising between technical teams and business stakeholders. To thrive as an ERP Support Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of business processes, and experience with ERP platforms, typically supported by a bachelor's degree in IT, business, or a related field. Familiarity with major ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, as well as ticketing systems and SQL databases, is often required, along with relevant certifications. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and customer service orientation are crucial soft skills for effectively supporting users and translating technical issues.
