(Star Pipe Products Ltd. has an opening in Houston, TX) ERP Support Engineer: Design, develop, and implement custom ERP solutions within Infor SyteLine ERP, applying expertise in programming, database management, and system architecture. Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into detailed technical design specifications for ERP system enhancements, demonstrating advanced knowledge of enterprise business processes. Customize and extend ERP functionality by developing forms, IDOs (Intelligent Data Objects), event handlers, and business logic using specialized ERP development frameworks. Develop and maintain integrations between SyteLine ERP and external or third-party applications using APIs, web services, and middleware, requiring advanced understanding of system interoperability. Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and reports using Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring data integrity and high-performance operations. Create and execute detailed unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate ERP enhancements and ensure system reliability, requiring analytical and problem-solving skills. Troubleshoot, debug, and perform root cause analysis on complex ERP system issues, applying advanced technical knowledge to implement corrective solutions. Conduct regression testing and performance tuning to ensure application stability and optimal ERP system performance after upgrades or deployments. Assist in ERP implementation projects, including module configuration, complex data validation, testing cycles, and technical go-live support, requiring in-depth understanding of ERP architecture and business workflows. Manage user roles, security permissions, and role-based access controls within the ERP system, ensuring compliance with enterprise IT governance standards. Provide advanced technical support and maintenance for ERP applications, resolving escalated issues that require specialized knowledge of both software and business processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, functional consultants, and IT infrastructure teams, to design and deliver scalable, complex ERP solutions. Document technical designs, test cases, system configurations, and process workflows in accordance with IT governance standards, demonstrating professional-level knowledge and technical expertise. Requires Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 2 years experience in the job offered, Syteline Application Developer, or related. 2 years must include experience with software development, ERP customization, database development, and enterprise application development. 2 years must include experience with (1) Infor SyteLine / SyteLine ERP (CSI), including customizing and developing ERP modules; (2) Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL, including writing queries, stored procedures, and database integrations; (3) .NET / C#, including developing customizations and integrations; (4) ERP customization and integrations, including implementing ERP workflows, business logic, and reporting, and (5) integration using REST APIs and web services. 1 year must include experience with (1) Mongoose framework, including developing and maintaining business objects (IDOs); and (2) SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), including designing reports.
