Position Summary:  

The EPS Account Representative is responsible for collections and follow-up with Employers to obtain prompt/accurate payment on accounts. The EPS Account Representative will assist and manage all aspects of employer account receivable functions of the organization including billing, collections, follow-up, payment posting, and credit balance resolution. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Preparation, submission and management of invoices to all Employer contacts. 
  • Maintain knowledge of current billing requirements for all employer accounts. 
  • Track and monitor financial activities of all Employer accounts.
  • Resolve billing issues of outstanding claims providing information needed such as medical records or results and maintain current aging of accounts receivables. 
  • Responsible for maintaining workload balance, ensuring maximum efficiency, eliminating rework, and reducing cost. 
  • Review and respond timely to requests, including emails, telephone calls, issues, account research and resolution as needed by coworkers, management and Employers. 
  • Participate in meetings, conference calls and training sessions, including Management Meetings, Team Meetings, as well as any meetings while working telecommute during assigned daily work schedule. 
  • May receive incoming telephone calls and resolve issues communicated. 
  • Assists in reviewing and balancing transaction reports for administration. 
  • Performs various duties as needed in order to successfully fulfill the function of the position. 
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position. 

Qualifications

  • Education
  • High School diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Experience
  • 12 months experience in Medical field or equivalent
  • Skills
  • Ability to use 10key by touch o Able to type 45 wpm 
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge, Medical billing knowledge o Analytical skills 
  • Organizational skills 

Working Conditions

  • Subject to varying and unpredictable situations and interruptions. 
  • Occasionally subjected to irregular hours.  
  • Occasional pressure is due to a fast-paced environment. 
  • Position may require lifting, carrying or pushing equipment or patients.

  • Must be able to see with corrective eye wear 
  • Must be able to hear clearly with assistance 
  • May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.  
  • May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances. 
  • Able to handle emergency or crisis situations. 
  • May be occasionally subject to irregular hours. 
  • May be required to wear protective equipment as necessary.
