Job Summary

The purpose of the Senior Accountant is to further the global mission of Biblica by assisting in the accounting and

compliance functions and providing support for the Global Finance Staff. The Senior Accountant applies

Accounting Principles (GAAP or international equivalent) to record transactions for Biblica, Inc. and related

entities as well as prepare and file state and federal reports to ensure compliance requirements are met.


This is a hybrid position that requires a Colorado Springs Metropolitan area-based candidate able to work on-siteat Biblica's HQ a minimum of one to two days per week.


Supervisory Responsibilities

None.


Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for all payroll functions, including payroll processing, accruals, reversals, and

reconciliations in General Ledger; payroll deduction processing and reporting for the 403(b)-

retirement plan; compliance monitoring (e.g., IRS Form 941 filings and state filings), and

coordination with the plan administrator for 403(b) compliance and reconciliation.

Leads compliance efforts, including state compliance (sales tax filings and state registrations)

and federal compliance (Form 990, FBAR, 1040-NR, 1099 support, etc.).

Assists with audit preparation and coordination.

Prepares and records separate entity journal entries for Biblica Europe Ministry Trust (BEMT)

and Biblica Ministry Foundation (BMF). Assists Accounting Manager with preparation of

month-end financial reports for these entities.

Responsible for the transactions and financial statement preparation for the Close the Bible

Gap (CtBG) collective impact alliance (partnership).

Coordinates the ECFA annual reporting requirements to maintain accreditation.

Work closely with Controller on royalty audits.

Responsible for any process improvements necessary for areas of responsibility.

Cross-functional training with other Accounting roles, as needed.

Participate in daily prayer and devotions.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

Three to five years of accounting experience. Non-profit, multi-entity, and/or global experience

preferred.

Physical Requirements

Able to work remotely with minimal supervision.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Ability to travel to various locations locally, regionally, and globally. Current passport required.

The ability for up to 20% overnight travel to various locations locally, regionally, and globally.

Salary/Hours/Benefits

Full-Time: 40 hours per week

Salary range: $56,800 - $71,000 - Determined by qualifications and experience

Grade Level: 300
