Job Summary:
The Learning Specialist supports the Training and Development team by assisting in the creation and delivery of effective training programs. This role involves helping to assess organizational development needs, contributing to content creation, and supporting the development of curricula. The Learning Specialist collaborates with various departments to identify developmental needs and assist in executing training sessions within the plant and across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate has experience with various training methods, including classroom / virtual classroom training, on-the-job training, coaching, mentorship programs and e-learning.
This role will be on-site in Dyersburg, TN. Relocation Assistance is available.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Owns learning workstream development projects with guidance from the Operations Training Manager and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training needs, gather requirements, and assist in developing tailored solutions that address specific business objectives.
  • Assist in the assessment of training needs by partnering with department leadership and providing recommendations.
  • Develop training materials using a variety of multimedia resources, including interactive videos and digital simulations, to enhance learner engagement and retention.
  • Facilitate learning sessions and workshops using a variety of training methods, such as classroom training, virtual classroom training, on-the-job training, coaching, mentorship programs, and e-learning, to cultivate new skills and strengths across the workforce.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver and track training, including eLearning modules, session completion rates, and training metrics, while working closely with the Learning System Administrator.
  • Create course assessments, training evaluations, quizzes, and meaningful, interactive activities that improve learning outcomes and easily translates operational needs into learning solutions.
  • Review the effectiveness of training programs by monitoring results against corporate goals and key performance indicators and suggest data-driven improvements to enhance impact.
  • Support continuous improvement of learning programs, including new hire training and continuous improvement initiatives, to ensure they remain effective and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Mentor and Train Associate Learning Specialists Provides feedback on facilitation and materials and models effective learning practices and professional growth.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree, current enrollment in a degree-producing program, and/or training industry-recognized certifications in Training and Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • A combination of experience and education may also be considered.
  • 3-5 years direct experience with Instructional Design or curriculum development and delivering content, preferably in a corporate learning and development environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments and the learning and development needs of front-line workers, supervisors, and managers.
  • Understanding of manufacturing policies, practices, trends, and technology.
  • Proven experience as a Learning Specialist, Trainer, or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using e-learning software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with LMS administration and management.
  • Familiarity with virtual training platforms and tools.
