Job description

Join a team where your analytical mindset and attention to detail help power critical forecasting and reporting cycles. You'll partner with finance stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely submissions and continuously improve how financial data is managed. As an Analytics Solutions Associate at JPMorganChase within Consumer & Community Banking Finance, you will support forecasting and reporting processes by ensuring data integrity in Essbase cubes and delivering reliable month-end and quarter-end outcomes. You will collaborate with Finance, Technology, and business partners to improve controls, automate repeatable tasks, and strengthen best practices in financial data management.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage Planning & Analysis stakeholders through monthly forecast and budget cycles
  • Deliver timely responses to stakeholder questions and committed deliverables
  • Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across Essbase cubes and submissions
  • Support core finance processes, including tax calculations, incentive compensation, and reconciliations
  • Troubleshoot cube and submission issues using structured analysis and sound judgment
  • Partner with Technology and cross-functional teams to define requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors
  • Update and enhance standard operating procedures to strengthen controls and execution
  • Write root cause analyses for issues and drive actions that prevent recurrence

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on financial solutions architecture, business intelligence engineering, or related concepts, and 3+ years of applied experience
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field like business administration or accounting. 
  • Knowledge of financial cube solutions (Essbase and/or other cloud-based OLAP solutions)
  • Working knowledge of Excel reporting add-ins (e.g., Smart View, Dodeca, Anaplan Excel add-in)
  • Strong data analysis skills, including interpreting results and troubleshooting data issues
  • Understanding of finance planning, budgeting, and reporting, including month-end and quarter-end cycles
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail with a control-oriented mindset
  • Ability to multitask effectively and deliver accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with varied stakeholder groups

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting workflows
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and macros for data manipulation
  • Interest in staying current on Essbase and financial analytics trends and best practices
  • Exposure to multi-dimensional cube solutions outside of Essbase
