Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Purpose and Scope
Under limited supervision the Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A, performs financial analysis to support monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc requests. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this high-visibility role partners with senior leaders across R&D and enabling functions including the Chief Scientific Officer, Chief Legal Officer, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Information Officer. This role is responsible for translating operational and financial data into actionable insights, supporting decision-making and driving continuous improvement in planning and reporting processes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support and lead components of the monthly close and Monthly Management Review (MMR) reporting process for R&D and Enabling Functions, including accrual support/validation and variance analysis versus Budget/Monthly Forecast/Prior Year with clear narrative and executive-ready materials.
  • Serve as the primary finance partner for assigned cost centers and project portfolios (e.g., clinical/CRO spend, regulatory and medical affairs, IT, Legal, and other enabling functions), translating operational updates into financial impacts and actionable insights for senior leaders.
  • Drive the monthly forecasting cadence in OneStream (Monthly Forecast scenario), ensuring timely inputs and reviews aligned to the corporate workday schedule (WD-10 open through WD+8 lock) and documenting risks/opportunities and key assumptions and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support R&D forecast inputs at the department/project level within OneStream (FinRptg, PLAN or cube root), including line-item detail entry by expense type with required fields (Committed/Uncommitted, PO where applicable, source department) and roll-up review prior to submission.
  • Partner with Accounting, Procurement, HR/People Planning, and business owners to ensure accurate coding (cost center/project), completeness of accruals, and alignment of forecast assumptions to actual activity and approved initiatives.
  • Maintain headcount and compensation analytics for assigned organizations, including vacancy/req tracking and communication of material changes in staffing plans that impact forecast.
  • Partner with functional leaders to translate operational drivers into financial forecasts and provide actionable recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Support capital planning and forecasting activities as needed, leveraging OneStream Capex Cube reporting (including PO/invoice detail where available) and preparing analysis and commentary for budget reviews and governance forums (e.g., CRB).
  • Develop, standardize, and continuously improve OneStream reports, views, and dashboards to reduce offline Excel work, improve self-service drill-down, and increase accuracy and timeliness of recurring deliverables.
  • Assist with annual budget and long-range planning (LRP) activities by coordinating inputs, maintaining templates/models, and preparing summary decks that reconcile to OneStream and clearly articulate drivers and tradeoffs.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and data governance within FP&A processes (version control, reconciliations/tie-outs, and audit trail for key assumptions and adjustments) and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Financial system know-how including OneStream, Oracle Hyperion, and SAP BPC.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems required.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Eight or more years of experience in finance business partnership and/or accounting roles including exposure to financial systems like ERP and EPM softwares
  • Advanced excel skills and curiosity to learn/adapt AI for efficiency

Working Conditions
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual pay range $120,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
