Description:

Helm is seeking a results-driven Key Account Manager to drive the development and expansion of bproauto parts sales within strategic wholesale channels. This role is responsible for cultivating and growing relationships with national and regional installers, warehouse distributors, e-commerce retailers, and other key accounts. Candidates with a strong network of existing wholesale relationships will be able to make an immediate impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth, customer loyalty, and product utilization to meet or exceed revenue targets for bproauto parts.
  • Represent and promote the bproauto brand to both new and existing wholesale customers, aiming to capture market share from incumbent suppliers.
  • Conduct in-person and joint sales visits with dealership representatives, distributors, and other partners to support account development.
  • Identify and secure new key wholesale accounts through proactive outreach, including cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Maintain regular face-to-face engagement with dealerships and wholesale customers to strengthen relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with dealer parts managers to ensure optimal inventory levels that support wholesale sales objectives.
  • Identify potential Redistribution Service Locations (RSL) and Warehouse Distributor (WD) prospects, coordinating with the redistribution team for onboarding and support.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record in automotive aftermarket sales, preferably with experience in wholesale distribution.
  • Familiarity with dealership operations and parts inventory management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in key account management or business development within the automotive aftermarket.
  • Established relationships with large wholesale accounts in the automotive parts industry.
  • Experience working with e-commerce retailers and digital sales platforms.
