Job description

Role: System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineers

Location- San Jose, CA.

JD:

System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineers to support the design, verification, and qualification of nextgeneration computing platforms, including datacenter systems and FPGAbased platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of AMD s hardware and systems through Design Verification Testing (DVT). This role bridges design and validation, ensuring products meet specifications before moving to production

    • Lead DVT execution for complex systems, including FPGAbased datacenter platforms.
  • Drive EVT DVT PVT transitions, ensuring smooth progression from engineering to production.
  • Perform system bringup and debug to resolve functional and integration issues.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with design, validation, manufacturing, and test teams.
  • Develop and maintain test scripts/tools to improve testing efficiency and accuracy .
  • Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on results and issues .
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware and system issues, working with design engineers to find solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members on testing processes and procedures .
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor s/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 6-10 years of experience in hardware validation and DVT testing for computer systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standard validation and DVT methodologies
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, handson environment with a focus on problemsolving and attention to detail
  • Experience in high-speed hardware validation, specifically in electrical device validation tests (EDVT).
  • Strong expertise in PCBA testing, signal integrity measurements, power consumption measurement, and system-level validation (ESD, thermal, functional).
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power meters, Traffic Generators (IXIA/KeySight, VIAVI/JDSU) and environmental chambers.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in hardware validation and testing.
