  • You will receive schedule at least 1 week in advance
  • 1.5x pay for hours worked over 40/week

Job Description

This project-based role supports industrial cleaning and battery operations within a large manufacturing facility in Nevada. Working exclusively on the night shift, you will perform technical dust control cleaning in a non-sterile “clean room” environment and support heavier manual work in a battery cell pad and shredding area. The position is hands-on, physically demanding, and requires strict adherence to safety protocols, consistent attendance, and flexibility to move between workstreams based on site needs. The project is planned through the end of the year with strong potential for extension or conversion. **Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification**

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical dust control cleaning in an industrial “clean room” environment focused on fine paint dust and overspray generated from powder coating operations.
  • Use intrinsically safe equipment such as pneumatic and specialty vacuums and Swiffer-type dust control tools to manage dust and particulate levels.
  • Clean floors, walls, surfaces, equipment, and structural areas to maintain dust mitigation standards.
  • Access elevated and hard-to-reach spaces using manlifts as needed while following all safety procedures.
  • Maintain strict compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times, including full face respirators for clean room activities.
  • Support battery cell pad and shredding operations by performing manual labor in outdoor or semi-enclosed areas.
  • Shovel and handle materials associated with battery shredding and processing operations in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Work around battery shredding and processing equipment, remaining aware of surroundings and following all safety protocols.
  • Operate effectively in environments with exposure to dirt, debris, and non-chemical industrial waste.
  • Demonstrate physical stamina by working extended 12-hour night shifts and performing repetitive manual tasks.
  • Follow detailed safety procedures and instructions provided by the Health & Safety team, especially for any confined space work they manage.
  • Adapt to changing daily scopes and priorities between dust control cleaning and battery cell pad support as project needs evolve.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to support continuous project operations.
  • Collaborate with team members and site personnel to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to quality standards.

Essential Skills

  • Full face respirator clearance and training, including the ability to wear a full face respirator for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen.
  • Proven ability to work consistent night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  • Capacity to work extended hours, typically 48–60 hours per week, on a 5–6 day schedule.
  • Strong reliability and attendance, with a track record of showing up consistently for scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and instructions without deviation.
  • Physical capability to perform demanding manual labor, including shoveling, handling materials, and working on your feet for long periods.
  • Comfort working in industrial, non-climate-controlled environments with exposure to dirt, debris, and industrial waste (non-chemical).
  • Flexibility to support both clean room dust control activities and battery cell pad work based on operational needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a cleanroom technician or in similar controlled dust or particulate environments.
  • Prior industrial cleaning experience in factories, plants, or large manufacturing facilities.
  • background in manufacturing, production, or plant operations.
  • Experience with dust control, environmental services, or related standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMP) in an industrial or production setting.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset when performing cleaning and support tasks.
