Job description

Atomic Transport is a leading bulk waste transportation company headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We specialize in hauling waste from local transfer stations to landfills using a dedicated fleet of company-owned equipment and W-2 drivers. Our commitment to safety, service, and reliability has made us a trusted leader in the transportation industry. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Driver Recruiter to join our Corporate Recruiting team in Chattanooga, TN. This position is responsible for sourcing, screening, and guiding qualified CDL driver candidates through the hiring process while partnering closely with terminal management to meet staffing goals.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Pre-screen incoming driver candidate applications
  • Make/receive outbound & inbound calls
  • Conduct phone interviews with applicants to pre-qualify applicants
  • Follow up with applicants to advise them of the progress of their application
  • Documenting all recruiting activity and status of application in Tenstreet
  • Actively recruit Company roles through various advertisement mediums and lead generation.
  • Utilize all company resources to complete the Recruiting process (Phone, computer, Internet, etc.)
  • Must be able to track and report on all activities on a routine basis, by updating hiring needs spreadsheet.
  • Works with Terminal management for staffing needs and requirements.
  • Understand each job description and benefits/requirements for open jobs
  • Employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Atomic Transport.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of driver recruiting experience.
  • Tenstreet experience prefer not required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work alone and with a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, general knowledge of mobile device use and applications.
