Job Title: Digital Product Owner (DPO) Contract Length: 12+ months Location: San Antonio, TX 78288 Ref# 246698 Seeking a Digital Product Owner (DPO) to represent business stakeholders and translate business vision, strategy, and customer needs into actionable work for delivery teams. This role serves as the day-to-day business representative for Agile teams, ensuring solutions align with business objectives while balancing value, risk, and delivery priorities. The Digital Product Owner works closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and IT teams to define requirements, prioritize work, manage risks, and guide delivery from concept through implementation

The role requires the ability to operate across multiple delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, while supporting business readiness, adoption, and operational success. Key Responsibilities Represent business stakeholders throughout the product realization lifecycle. Elicit, analyze, document, refine, and communicate business requirements.

Create and refine features and user stories for the technical execution of epics. Translate business vision and objectives into actionable work for delivery teams. Prioritize backlog items, new features, enhancements, defects, and technical work.

Partner with business owners and subject matter experts to understand and document requirements. Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams to build effective solutions. Serve as the day-to-day decision maker and provide ongoing business guidance to delivery teams.

Review and validate requirements, acceptance criteria, and completed work. Identify, communicate, and help mitigate business and operational risks. Escalate issues and develop appropriate solution recommendations.

Develop and maintain business process documentation and related metrics. Assist with project-level planning related to scope, schedule, and resources. Prepare business stakeholders for organizational and process changes.

Support benefits realization, adoption tracking, and operational readiness activities. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, testers, designers, user experience partners, and stakeholders. Coach and assist less experienced team members as needed.

Support multiple initiatives and solutions simultaneously. Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience creating features and user stories for the technical execution of epics. 4+ years of experience working with business partners to define and translate vision and requirements.

4+ years of experience working within Agile and other delivery methodologies. Experience gathering, documenting, refining, and managing business requirements. Experience prioritizing work and guiding delivery teams toward business objectives.

Experience working directly with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to identify, assess, communicate, and mitigate risks. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Required Tools Clarity Jira Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) organizations.

Understanding of P&C products and services. Experience working with multiple technologies, including infrastructure, mobile, and business-facing solutions. Experience working with vendor-supported software or external technology partners.

Daily Activities Review epics in Clarity and translate business objectives into features and user stories. Refine and prioritize work items in Jira. Collaborate with business owners, subject matter experts, and delivery teams.

Monitor risks, dependencies, and project progress. Communicate status updates using Microsoft Office tools. Provide business guidance to Agile teams throughout execution.

Validate completed work against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
