UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER

Pay Rate: $23.00

Full Time Positions Available

Objective:The Unarmed Security Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day security at client facilities in Las Cruces, New Mexico as requested on an as-needed basis. The Unarmed Security Officer will serve as a primary contact point/interface with internal and external clients requiring security support and guidance. The Unarmed Security Officer will ensure adherence to Post Orders and other directives provided by the client and will be required to report any violations of security policy or procedure.Essential Functions:

Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. The ability to maintain a professional, tactful and courteous demeanor under stressful situations security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in the English language as necessary.

Job Duties:The Uniformed Security Guard needs to have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a team. They may also need to have technical skills, basic leadership skills, excellent customer service skills and the ability to take appropriate actions in accordance with Post Orders and other directives.

The Uniformed Security Guard ensures physical security, through monitoring and reporting of violations or security compromises including:

  • Adherence to access control procedures
  • Proper utilization of credentials/access control IDs
  • Unusual presence in certain work areas
  • Deviations from approved tour routes
  • Unusual or unauthorized use of vehicles and access to controlled areas (Air Operations Areas)
  • Unauthorized photography, video or audio recording
  • Unusual or unauthorized removal or relocation of company assets
  • Suspicious activities associated with any company location or event
  • May be required to support the client’s internal security team components to ensure situational awareness of threats/risks/vulnerabilities.
  • Helps ensure compliance with all regulations and procedures, to include reporting of known or suspected violations.
  • Experience supporting security operations desk operations (e.g.: watch operations, multi-agency communications/coordination, or knowledge of cooperative/coordinated security management) ideally in a law enforcement or military environment.
  • Specific certifications or education/training may be required, depending on job assignment.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must be a High school/GED graduate
  • Must have 2+ years of related experience (Specialized Security, Law Enforcement, Military or similar) with 2+ years of customer/client engagement experience
  • Proven experience in basic information/threat intelligence collection and reporting processes is preferred.
  • High level of customer/client orientation, including the ability to engage and support VIP/special visitor interactions in a professional and competent manner.
  • Candidates may be required to agree to and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

The applicant is required to submit to pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
