Job Description Summary

The Head Dorm Supervisor plays a key leadership role in creating a positive, safe, and fun environment for all Synchronized Skating Camp participants. This position requires an upbeat, enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and can confidently oversee the day-to-day operation of the dormitory. The Head Dorm Supervisor works closely with the Camp Directors and Camp Manager to ensure an exceptional off-ice experience for every participant.

Job Description

Essential Duties:
Oversee the supervision, safety, and general well-being of all camp participants during dorm time.
Perform duties with limited supervision and exercise sound, independent decision-making.
Manage and supervise the dormitory during camp check-in, daily operations, and check-out.
Interpret, communicate, and enforce all Miami Synchronized Skating Camp policies, procedures, and rules.
Conduct daily safety inspections of dormitory facilities and equipment; address and report issues as needed.
Assist in planning and facilitating off-ice activities for evening dorm time.
Provide basic first-responder support to participants when needed.
Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating professional behavior and fostering a supportive atmosphere for both staff and campers.

Minimum Qualifications:
Staff members are required to complete and pass a fingerprint background check before they are permitted to work.

Former youth camp experience or coaching is preferred but not required.

Staff members must also complete Safe Sport, Lindsey's Law, Concussion Training and any other training required by the University or State or US Figure Skating before the start of camp and provide certificates of completion or affirmative confirmation of completion to the Director/Assistant Director.
