Job description

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach-Soccer


START DATE: Open Until Filled


CAMPUS/DEPARTMENT: Ranger/Athletics


GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of coaching and help to manage the Ranger College Men's & Women's Soccer Program. Help recruit an assigned number of student athletes. Participate in academic advising and registration. Assist with divisional duties including but not limited to program planning, budgeting, scheduling, and facility maintenance. Other duties as may be assigned.

Additionally, a dorm supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily residential operations, including check-in/check-out processes, facility inspections, and addressing student housing concerns. This role fosters a safe, engaging living environment by ensuring compliance with college policies and housing regulations.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Soccer coaching experience at community college level or higher, preferred
Help in recruitment of highly skilled soccer student athletes
Understand student athletes welfare
Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Strong organizational skills required
Able to work in a fast-paced, busy student-oriented setting
Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits


ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
