Position Summary
Mathias Lock and Key is seeking an experienced Commercial Door, Frame & Hardware Estimator to join our growing team in Fort Collins. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and customer service are essential. Strong preference for someone proficient in Emullion estimating software. This position is responsible for reviewing construction documents, preparing competitive and accurate estimates, detailing awarded projects, coordinating with vendors and project managers, and supporting projects from bid through handoff.
Primary Responsibilities
* Review project plans, specifications, door schedules, and hardware sets.
* Solicit and evaluate pricing from manufacturers and suppliers.
* Prepare accurate and competitive estimates using Emullion software for customers and general contractors.
* Detail awarded projects by creating complete material orders and project documentation.
* Coordinate closely with project managers, purchasing, and field personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
* Track bid opportunities, follow up on outstanding quotations, and maintain organized project records.
* Assist with project revisions, change orders, and pricing updates throughout the life of a project.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, architects, and contractors.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years of commercial door, frame, and hardware estimating experience preferred.
* Proficiency with Emullion estimating software strongly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of commercial hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, finish hardware, and specialty openings.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and construction documents.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong communication and customer service abilities.
* Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Compensation
Compensation is designed to reward performance and experience.
* Base salary plus commission.
