This is an exciting role within the rapidly growing Optum Home & Community Care Delivery division within UnitedHealth Group. This role will support National Performance and Operations of the business, enabling performance data transparency and literacy, along with supporting strategic business decisioning spanning numerous components of the organization.

This Senior Business Analyst role thrives at the intersection of complexity and insight-leveraging large, diverse data sets to build robust operational models and deliver compelling narratives that influence decision-making in a dynamic, matrixed environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and forecast complex, multi-source data to identify trends and opportunities 
  • Translate insights into clear recommendations for operational and strategic decisions 
  • Support business initiatives with data-driven analysis across short and long-term horizons 
  • Design and implement solutions through analysis of data, processes, and models

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience SQL, SAS, PYTHON, R programming and/ or data manipulation
  • 3 years of preparing/creating/managing reporting and analysis
  • 2 years of experience in creating and managing data reporting dashboards leveraging Power BI or equivalent data visualization software (DOMO, Tableau)
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel (VBA, advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, lists, statistical functions, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as a data analyst supporting a healthcare delivery organization or project, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a government, legal, health care, managed care and/or health insurance environment in a regulatory, privacy or compliance role
  • Solid communication and collaboration skills, with ability to share findings with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
