Job description

Beavercreek City Schools is seeking a DoDEA PreK-8 STEM Expert- Teacher.

All applicants must possess or be eligible for a valid Ohio educator license or certificate for the appropriate grade level and content area(s) of instruction.

Science of Reading Information

Beavercreek City Schools is committed to meeting the requirements of the State of Ohio as outlined in Ohio Revised Code 3313.6028 requiring districts to use the science of reading for literacy instruction. "Science of Reading" is defined in the law as an interdisciplinary body of scientific evidence that informs how students learn to read and write proficiently.  Any employees new to the district will be guided on what professional development to complete based on your teaching assignment and a timeline for completion.  

  • Ohio's Introduction to SOR Course Pathways

The starting salary from the approved teacher salary schedule ranges from:

Bachelor's Degree:  $47,832 to $72,623; based on prior teacher verification, experience, and training 

Master's Degree:  $56,719 to $88,327; based on prior teacher verification, experience and training.  

Included in the 184 Day Contract is a competitive benefits package which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as paid Personal Leave and Sick Leave.
