Job Description:

As a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer, you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) team. This position supports the Space Defense portfolio within the Space & Mission Systems segment, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. We have a long history of innovative and exceptional performance; we have earned our place as a trusted provider to our customers.

In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact on programs and projects that are critical to our customers!

Essential Functions:

  • 2+ years' experience with SysML/MBSE
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
  • Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
  • Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details
  • Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering, ground optical systems, general systems)
  • Participate in agile execution, MBSE, and requirements analysis.
  • Possess interpersonal leadership skills with support to customers, including meetings and briefings.
  • Possess DoD engineering experience, System Development Life Cycle knowledge, Familiarity with DoD 5000.
  • Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP, SEMP, TEMP, CMP, DMP).
  • Experience with INCOSE and/or NASA Systems Engineering Handbook requirements writing guide.
  • Potential 10% travel required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with and knowledge of Space Domain Awareness mission and systems
  • Experience with MagicDraw MBSE tool
  • Experience with development and editing of MBSE diagrams, requirements, use-cases, and traceability to requirements
  • Experience with Engineering Drawings and traceability MagicDraw
  • Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORs) experience
  • SysML/MBSE experience
  • Willingness to travel to remote location for up to a month per year

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $92,500-$171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
