Job description

Position Summary:
TGSV Enterprises, Inc. is a growing midsize construction management firm seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our accounting and project finance operations. The Accounting Assistant will assist with accounts payable, subcontractor compliance, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
  • Approve vendor invoices for processing.
  • Verify invoice accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Project Accounting Support:
  • Assist with job cost coding and tracking project expenditures.
  • Maintain project-related accounting records and documentation.
  • Support monthly project cost reporting and budget monitoring.
  • Coordinate with project managers regarding cost allocations and billing information.

Compliance & Documentation:
  • Track subcontractor insurance certificates, W-9 forms, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with lien waiver collection and management.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files.

General Accounting:
  • Prepare reports and spreadsheets for management review.
  • Respond to vendor, subcontractor, and internal accounting inquiries.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • General experience with office administration and record keeping.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Understanding basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
