Job Title: Document Control Specialist
Duration: 12 Months

This position reports to Product Engineering Manager
Summary
This role is responsible to manage the creation, update, maintenance, deletion, and delivery of master data while ensuring that it is consistent and trustworthy. Adheres to data policies and standards. Participate in programs to optimize business functions through data driven insights. Provide support for Master Data management processes for ELSP (Electrification Smart Power), Richmond, Virginia.
Your responsibilities
  • Ensures that Master Data is maintained efficiently and accurately in all systems within scope of responsibility
  • Understands the impact of the Master Data maintained and provides guidance to others regarding Master Data
  • Documents, reviews, and updates all work procedures pertaining to all aspects of system maintenance
  • Assists in the overall solution to quality issues by participating in the elimination of non-conformance and adopting the approach of "doing it right the first time"
  • May act as Master Data Super User, providing support and training to other Master Data Specialists and Master Data professionals in own area of responsibility and suggesting improvements concerning Master Data creation, maintenance, and archiving/deletion processes
  • Verify proper communication of SAP to the BOM creation Engineering Software
  • Support the creation of new BOM in SAP.
  • Support business requirements in the product & process engineering; establish the master data compliant and meet ISO Standards.
  • Support internal stakeholders with key product deliverables and act as a line of support for all ad-hoc queries & tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to establish right parameters in Master data to ensure the right cost controlling, planning & forecasting.
  • Support business with Continuous Improvement methodologies that may involve enhancements in SAP & on PLM software to streamline a smooth process flow of master data maintenance.
  • Analyze the master data & identify the bottlenecks to adapt the required solutions to the various product lines using analytical tools & Power BI dashboards.

Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related technical/STEM field with 3 plus years' experience in an operations environment
  • 3 years of experience in a related position as Master Data Specialist
  • Experience in Master Data Management and implementation, thorough knowledge of data tools, quality processes and understanding of master data terms and standard procedures a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, rapidly respond to unforeseen developments and initiate actions to reduce adverse impact
  • Strong SAP experience preferred
  • Knowledge in PLM software such as Windchill preferred
  • Microsoft 365 Office Program Proficiency
