POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible to provide the day-to-day support of the Quality Control department. The Quality Document Technician will work through and under the direct authority of the Quality Manager to ensure that all forms and documents follow established processes and meet all applicable company, customer and federal regulations. Blueprint reading skills are required for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensures that production schedules and customer requirement are met
  • Verifies material and process certifications for compliance to customer/regulatory requirements.
  • Records inspection results accurately into assigned documents
  • Verify of certification packages prior to customer shipments
  • Exports data to create specific reports as needed
  • Manages and maintains database(s), spreadsheets and metrics.
  • Performs data analysis and reporting.
  • Ensures all electronic and manual filing systems are kept up to date.
  • Communicates nonconformances that prohibit job advancement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous administrative support experience within a Quality department preferred
  • Blueprint reading skills required
  • First Article Inspection Reporting per AS9102 preferred
  • Numbers oriented/Strong math skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Above average proofreading skills
  • Ability to effectively handle frequent interruptions and shifting priorities
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks independently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Providing a high level of service to all internal and external customers.
