Job description

We are an internal medicine primary care physician office and medspa in search of a compassionate full-time Medical Assistant interested in helping people!

Ideal Medical Assistant candidates are punctual, dependable, flexible, detail-oriented, and can communicate effectively with patients, staff and physicians. We require a self-motivated “people” person with excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle clinical/administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
  • Customer service (face-to-face and over the phone)
  • Some front office duties (including insurance verification, answering phones, making appointments)
  • Insurance referrals and authorizations
  • Prepping for upcoming appointments
  • Preparing exam rooms and fitting with supplies
  • Procedure skills (including vital signs, blood draws, injections, EKG, spirometry, bladder scan, breathing treatments)
  • Document visit with the patient into the EMR
  • Send orders and prescriptions
  • Training in all areas of the clinic to cover as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
  • eClinicalWorks experience preferred
  • Primary care experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Hours: Full-time, Mon-Thurs 7:50 am - 5:30 pm and Fri 7:50 am - 12:30 pm
