Job description

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JT4, LLC is looking for a highly organized Configuration Management Assistant to maintain records, logs or other documentation for classified publications and documents. The CM (Configuration Management) Assistant will edit and revise content of documents and / or drawings for consistency, format, and accuracy per prescribed policies and procedures.
**This position located at Point Mugu CA and is not eligible for telework**
**An active secret clearance is highly desired**
JOB DUTIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Employee will be responsible for performing the following functions/duties:
  • Maintains the Technical Reference Library (TRL) in an orderly fashion, utilizing a retrieval system that allows access as requested
  • Selects, orders, receives (electronically or hard copy), catalogs and classifies special collections of technical books and documents
  • Serves as the designated Technical Order Distribution Office (TODO) Administrator maintaining contract-related Technical Orders (TOs) in accordance with TO 00-5-1 and 00-5-2
  • Ensures current Technical Data is available for all J-Tech and associated contractor personnel
  • Maintains assigned military accounts for the purpose of ordering or accessing electronic forms and documents
  • Maintains library database for software, software license assignments and software manuals.
  • Checks materials in and out of the Library; assisting users in the research of technical data; providing assistance to other TODOs; and performing annual inventories.
  • Works in coordination with the Security Manager to manage and maintain records, logs or other documentation for classified publications and documents.
  • Prepare MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio presentation material which depict status and issues for DM.
  • Learn and use web-based platforms used for document management, collaboration, and content management, for example Atlassian Jira and Microsoft SharePoint

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Able to track and manage all of the changes made to a system's configuration over the course of its development and operational life to include everything from software code and documentation to hardware or network infrastructure. Experience with change management and version control. Understanding CM (configuration management) compliance with processes and standards. Well versed with utilizing data bases such as ELIS. Proficient working in a technical librarian environment.
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
A high School or GED equivalent and four (4) years of library experience or possess an associate's degree in library science and two (2) years of directly related library experience. Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Access. Knowledge of guiding regulations and account maintenance, including regular inspections, for: COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO), Document Custodian (classified documents), and STU-III Responsible Officer (SRO).
In addition, a Librarian must possess the following qualifications:
  • Ability to maintain meticulous paperwork
  • Ability to meet pickup and destruction deadlines for materials
  • Working knowledge of ATOMS (Automated Technical Order Management System) and JCALS (Joint Computer-aided Acquisition and Logistics Support)
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to qualify for and maintain a Government security clearance.

SALARY
The expected salary range for this position is $74,506 to $823,824 annually.
Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. Involves constant sitting and use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness. There is occasional lifting to (20) pounds.
This position may require travel.
