Job description

The Document Center Print Production Specialist plays a vital role in the Creative Services department, ensuring the smooth production of high-quality printed materials. This role involves managing various print projects from start to finish while maintaining top standards of accuracy and efficiency. Key duties include operating digital printing presses, calibrating, and maintaining advanced printing and finishing equipment to guarantee consistent, high-quality results. The specialist collaborates with designers and creative team members to troubleshoot technical issues and maintain brand consistency across all outputs. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating digital copy machines
  • Experience operating modern graphic arts equipment, including copying and typesetting using current computer programs
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of and interest in print production
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with Document Center staff and department customers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing within a team environment
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of all departmental operations to provide effective print and document solutions
  • Working knowledge of desktop publishing, networking, and digital print solutions
  • Ability to assess and recommend technical solutions for print production requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience operating bindery and finishing equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment or technical issues
  • Ability to maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
