GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Sr Marketing Technology Analyst owns and supports the digital analytics ecosystem across web and marketing platforms. This role is responsible for the end-to-end implementation, governance, and optimization of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and data layer architecture to ensure accurate, reliable, and actionable data across the organization.
The role serves as a bridge between marketing, IT, data engineering, and analytics to enable high-quality data collection that supports reporting in Snowflake, Tableau, and downstream business insights.
**Position sits in Des Moines and will work an onsite schedule**
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead implementation and ongoing management of GA4 properties, events, and conversions
  • Own and administer Google Tag Manager (GTM), including tagging strategy and structure
  • Design, document, and maintain a robust data layer framework
  • Implement and manage marketing tags including conversion tracking and retargeting pixels
  • Ensure data consistency across data layer → GTM → GA4 → Snowflake pipelines
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data discrepancies and anomalies
  • Partner with marketing, IT, and data teams for tracking and implementation needs
  • Create and maintain tracking documentation and QA processes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus four (4) or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience implementing and managing GA4 properties, events, and conversions.
  • Experience administering Google Tag Manager (GTM), including tagging strategy, structure, and marketing tag implementation such as conversion tracking and retargeting pixels.
  • Experience designing, documenting, and maintaining data layer frameworks and supporting data consistency across data layer, GTM, GA4, and Snowflake pipelines.
  • Experience establishing data governance standards, monitoring data quality, and troubleshooting discrepancies or anomalies.
  • Experience partnering with marketing, IT, and data teams to support tracking requirements, implementation needs, QA processes, and documentation.
  • Preferred: Experience working in an Agile environment and driving end-to-end delivery of data, analytics, or intelligence solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of digital analytics concepts, including event tracking, conversion measurement, tagging strategy, and data collection best practices.
  • Skilled in using Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to support accurate, scalable, and reliable marketing and web analytics tracking.
  • Ability to understand, document, and maintain data layer requirements and translate business tracking needs into technical implementation requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and documentation practices needed to support consistent and trustworthy reporting.
  • Ability to partner effectively with marketing, IT, data engineering, analytics, and other cross-functional teams to support tracking and implementation needs.
